DHB Retreat: Heart Wish
In this retreat Lama Tara, Katie and Namka will be exploring the Discovering the Heart of Buddhism theme of Heart Wish, looking in particular at the practice of The Apramanas (limitless love, compassion, joy and equanimity).
Event details
Each morning one of the teachers will offer a short talk touching on an aspect of the theme of Heart Wish. There will be ample time for reflection and meditation during the rest of the morning. There will also be the opportunity for an introduction (or a refresher) on the approach of formless meditation.
The afternoon sessions will be an invitation to see how the practice of the Apramanas both flows from and feeds into our exploration of Heart Wish. There will be some guidance offered in the practice of the Apramanas and also time for group discussions. On Tuesday afternoon there will be an extended break after lunch to give space for more personal reflection or simply time to rest or walk in the local lanes.
The teachers will be offering one-to-one interviews during the week for both in-person and online participants.
In the evenings we have a tradition of recounting life stories of great practitioners and participants are invited to read or tell a story that relates to the theme of Heart Wish or love and compassion.
