LAH Love and Compassion - Apramanas

-

Love and Compassion is one of the Living the Awakened Heart practice streams. It is ideal for those who feel drawn towards developing their heart connections with themselves and others and long for freedom from suffering and well-being for all.

The practice stream runs over one year in 12 week cycles:

 - Apramanas

 - Tonglen

 - Lojong

In practising the Apramanas with Namka, we will focus on what developing limitless love, compassion, sympathetic joy and equanimity for ourselves and others means for our daily life and dharma practice. We will take the teachings of Lama Shenpen on the ‘Apramanas’ as a starting point to explore how cultivating love towards ourselves and others can deepen our formless meditation practice and understanding of the Vaster Vision.

This is a Living the Awakened Heart practice group, not a study or reading group. Sessions are 1 hour 15 minutes. Please only register if you:

1) Have worked through the themes of Discovering the Heart of Buddhism at least once.

2) Are able to commit to a regular practice of the Apramanas during the 12 weeks. Your commitment will depend on your personal circumstances and exploring our commitment to practice will be an integral part of our reflective work as a group.
