Trusting the Heart of Buddhism

New training starts soon

Important opportunity for all students who have completed Discovering the Heart of Buddhism (DHB)

We are pleased to share that a mentor-led online group, working through an overview of Trusting the Heart of Buddhism (THB) will start on Tuesday 22nd April. The year-long training will consist of three 12 week cycles, with a short break between each one.

The aim of this training is to enrich our understanding of the Dharma through an introduction to the vaster vision underpinning Discovering the Heart of Buddhism (DHB). Trusting the Heart of Buddhism is recommended as an important stepping stone for students completing DHB who wish to deepen their training by further exploring the new Living the Awakened Heart streams.

In the introduction to Trusting the Heart of Buddhism Lama Shenpen explains how, in order to put our discoveries from direct experience into context, we are putting more emphasis on that vaster vision of the Dharma. What we are realising is the Truth at the heart of the Universe. It is alive from its own side and the Truth in us is actually an expression of a Truth that lies beyond us in a very special sense.  In other words, the power of the Truth is something we can put our trust in as being able to help us from beyond ourselves.

This first 12 week cycle - Truth as the Nature of Reality - will explore the first two sections of the book:

-  Truth is the nature of reality
-  Truth is alive and not an abstraction

The aim is to invite a teacher to join us at the end of each cycle to answer our questions and further guide us in our exploration of the vaster vision that these books open up to us.

Please note this course is open to everyone who has completed DHB including those students who have started either self-study or an earlier THB group but were unable to complete the training.  While it is possible to register for any cycle where you have already completed part of the training, priority will be given to those students from the previous cycle who wish to continue with the group.
