A message from Tara who's taking a 3 month sabbatical
With the encouragement of Lama Shenpen and the support of Jonathan, Pati, the Hermitage residents and other sangha members, I have decided to take a 3-month sabbatical from sangha work. I'm transitioning over the next week or so and am having a few more discussions and handover chats before I step back. As you may know, I had shingles in January this year and while I recovered from the worst of the illness, I never fully picked up and continue to be underweight and have low energy, muscle pains and frequent migraines. I aim to spend the next few months resting and focusing on whatever helps me to heal, hopefully benefitting both myself and others in the longer term.
Over the next 3 months I won't be engaging regularly with emails, however I will be available for anything that really needs my attention. I won't be in retreat as such but I expect I will need quite a lot of quiet time. I aim to be back in my sangha roles again from the beginning of February. In the meantime I am confident that Jonathan and Pati will be taking good care of sangha management issues and Ktso (and the Hermitage team) of Lama Shenpen. If anyone urgently needs to contact me then it is best to write to Ktso ( [email protected]ku.gro.sha@ostk ) as she will be a point of contact for me and pass on messages.
I may well see you before February if I participate in a Hermitage feast or puja or if I bump into you at the Hermitage. If I don't see you, take good care and I look forward to catching up again next year.
Love Tara
