By listening to scripture and reasoning, may I be liberated from the cloud of ignorance;
By reflecting on the oral instructions, may I overcome the darkness of doubt;
By the light arising from meditation, may I see the true state, as it is.
Thus, may the light of the three prajnas of listening, reflecting and meditating blaze.

Rangjung Dorje from the Mahamudra Pranidhana

This January we are inviting you to join us in a month-long retreat focusing on Rangjung Dorje’s Mahamudra Pranidhana. This beloved text not only lays out the essence of the Mahamudra teachings, but it encourages us to make effective aspirations to realise that essence.

This is a student-led retreat with a very flexible format to make it possible for you to join in with whatever level of participation feels right for you. We will provide opportunities for collective listening, contemplating and meditating, starting with a twice daily recitation of the pranidhana.  Lama Shenpen’s 2014 teachings will be made available for study. In addition, senior students will give a talk once a week. We are planning to leave the mornings free for individual study and practice and to come together in the afternoons and evenings for a variety of activities that promote reflection, including textual study, story-telling, movement, song and more.

(The Hermitage and AHS team are in retreat in January - if you have any general questions about this retreat please email [email protected]ku.gro.sha@ubron )
