Liturgy: Daily Life Awareness teaching day
An Event for current and past students of the Sangha.
We will be hosting a series of Sunday Gatherings this year to explore the intersections between vaster vision and the DHB themes. Each session will include some time for practice, an exploration of a DHB exercise or reflection and time to discuss with fellow students how the DHB theme manifests in the vaster vision of things and in the intimacy of our lives. This is a wonderful opportunity to set ourselves up each week and to allow our collective reflections to guide our lives.
This month Lama Agnes will be leading us, looking at Liturgy.
Liturgy
“Every sound is sound and emptiness”
Liturgy or recitation – never without it when we practice together, at the beginning
and end of a meditation session, before and after teachings, for feasts and other
special occasions. Some simply love it and others wrestle with it.
What is liturgy for? How does it affect our practice? And why repeat the same thing again and again? Is it not enough to have said it once? And what if I can’t sing?
We will look at these and other questions we may have around recitation and liturgy in this Sundays gathering.
Further information will be sent out nearer the time to those who've registered. Any queries email [email protected]ku.gro.sha@stneve we may not be able to help, but we'll always try!
