This practice stream starts in Spring 2026 with the first session happening on Friday 13th March.

The weekly sessions will be from 4.00pm - 5.30pm(UK) on Fridays.

Insight into Emptiness is one of the Living the Awakened Heart practice streams. It is ideal for students who are interested in deepening their view of reality through a daily meditation practice and is aimed at those who have confidence in their capacity to penetrate the view through meditation.

The practice stream runs over one year in 3 parts, each approximately 12 weeks. Groups decide together with the teacher how they will meet across the year.

- Accessing Serenity

- Insight into Satipatthana Sutta

- Resting Naturally

This is a Living the Awakened Heart practice group, not a study or reading group. Sessions are 90 minutes. Please only register if you:

1 Have worked through the themes of Discovering the Heart of Buddhism at least once. It is beneficial (but not essential) if you have also worked through Trusting the Heart of Buddhism and the Apramanas training.

2 Are able to commit to a minimum of an hour a day of meditation practice on this particular stream.

To begin the year of practice, Lama Dashon will explore how to approach the naturally serene quality of a mind that is not chasing it's own illusions.

Using the early Buddhist sutta as a framework, Lama Dashon aims to point to the profound truth implied in the practice.

In Resting Naturally, Lama Dashon follow up the investigation practice of Satipatthana and guide participants to rest in their deepest insight.
