LAH Pranidhana - Samantabhadracharya Pranidhana & Sudhana’s Journey
Pranidhana is one of the Living the Awakened Heart practice streams, looking at the practice of making pranidhanas through the Samantabhadracharya Pranidhana (SBCP). It is ideal for those seeking to deepen their understanding of the vaster vision of Dharma and Formless Meditation.
The practice stream runs over one year in 12 week cycles:
- Exploring the Samantabhadracharya Pranidhana Together - Radical Inclusivity, Delighting in Diversity
- Samantabhadracharya Pranidhana & Sudhana's Journey
- Samantabhadraycharya Pranidhana & Vaster Vision
Samantabhadracharya Pranidhana & Sudhana's Journey with Katie locates the SBCP in its original context—the Gandavyuha section of the Avatamsaka Sutra and follows Sudhana's journey towards Samantabhadra. In addition to practicing the SBCP together, we will spend time reflecting on the principles of making pranidhanas. We will be exploring the relationship between the Samantabhadracharya Pranidhana and the Mahayana Sutra principles.
This is a Living the Awakened Heart practice stream, not a study or reading group. Sessions are 90 minutes. Please only register if you:
1) Have worked through the themes of Discovering the Heart of Buddhism at least once. It is beneficial (but not essential) if you have also worked through Trusting the Heart of Buddhism.
2) Are able to commit to a regular practice of the Samantabhadracharya Pranidhana during the 12 weeks. Our commitment to practice is something that will be explored throughout.
