LAH Mandala of Sacred Space - Shakyamuni Sadhana
Mandala of Sacred Space is one of the Living the Awakened Heart practice streams that supports students to go deeper into the practices and community of the Awakened Heart Sangha. This stream is for you if you would like the Awakened Heart Sangha to be your long-term spiritual home.
In the first year of this stream students commit to exploring the daily practices of the AHS and how they relate to our Formless Meditation. It provides an opening for those who have worked through Discovering the Heart of Buddhism and practised meditation to enter the other key practices of the AHS, welcoming students in an informative way, open to their questions.
The practice stream runs over one year in 12 week cycles:
- Practising in the Awakened Heart Sangha
- The Shakyamuni Sadhana
- Taking Refuge
In The Shakyamuni Sadhana Rinchen Khandro will explore The Shakymauni Sadhana that is part of the Awakened Heart Sangha's daily puja sessions. This practice group bridges from the Discovering the Heart of Buddhism training into fully entering, and feeling at home in, the practice mandala of the AHS. The group will focus on delving deeper into the teachings Lama Shenpen gave during the Shakyamuni Sadhana Retreat in April 2025, looking closely at how the teachings can enrich our practice of the Sadhana. A main component of the sessions will be practicing the Sadhana as a group.
This is a Living the Awakened Heart practice group, not a study or reading group. Sessions are 1 hour. Please only register for the practice groups in this stream if you:
1 Have worked through the themes of Discovering the Heart of Buddhism at least once.
2 Are able to commit to a regular practice, either joining the daily practice community online or in your own time. Your commitment will depend on your personal circumstances and exploring our commitment to practice will be an integral part of our reflective work as a group.
