Daily Life Awareness is one of the Living the Awakened Heart practice streams, working with awareness of body, speech and mind. It is ideal for those looking to bring formless meditation into daily life.

The practice stream runs over one year in three cycles: Awareness of Body, Speech and Mind

In Awareness of Speech we will practise exploring the art of listening and expressing from the heart.

During this module we will be exploring the mystery of speech, the communicative aspect of reality. We will be giving some attention to the act of listening or receiving and also to the act of expressing, and then the rhythm of to and fro, call and response, and the silence within which sound takes place. We will share exercises to help galvanise our explorations, including some resources from the recent Body Awareness Stream, and we will encourage an active practice of listening and expressing in our breakout rooms--and beyond.

This is a Living the Awakened Heart practice stream, not a study or reading group. Sessions will be 90 minutes. Please only register if you:

1 Have worked through the themes of Discovering the Heart of Buddhism at least once.

2 Are able to commit to a regular practice during each of the cycles. This group will work best if people can commit to attending as many sessions as possible.

There will be 10 sessions of the Awareness of Speech stream on Tuesdays from 6.00-7.30 UK time. The dates are as follows:

20 May, 27 May, 3 June, 17 June, 24 June, 1 July, 8 July, 15 July, 22 July and the final session on 29 July.
