Dear sangha friends,
I'm sharing news of some changes taking place at the moment within the sangha team. The sangha has a small team of staff who help to support the activity of our whole community in meeting and practising together. We're all incredibly fortunate to benefit from skilled and dedicated members who bring their experience and caring to supporting sangha life.
This month Rangdrol will be finishing in her role, having worked on a wide range of projects over the last few years. She has brought her insight into the teachings and sangha ethos to help to shape a wealth of study and practice materials. She has worked with Pati to develop and deliver our new mentor training, developed THB resources with Gendun, and developed and delivered training for Vow Takers with Lama Tara, as well as creating and training up the current vows team over the past few years.
She will still be very much active in sangha life, as a mentor and continuing to train new mentors and support vow takers. She has recently started working with Lama Shenpen to help develop her teachings and materials on Mandala Principle so watch this space for more to come there soon.
In June Carmel will be officially retiring as she steps back from Student Support. Many of you will have contact with her over the last few years and appreciate the great care she has brought to the role; responding to our questions, organising DHB groups, and supporting us to navigate sangha activity and engage in meaningful ways.
All this has been alongside her role as a mentor, in which she has also developed a wealth of materials and training around Death and Dying and she continues with this, supporting the LAH Death & Dying practice stream with Sherab this year.
I'm sure there are many of us who would like to express our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to both Rangdrol and Carmel for their contribution and commitment to their roles over the last few years. And a wish to stay connected and to continue to cross paths in sangha life for many more years to come.
In March we welcomed Palden to the team, who will be stepping into the role of Student Support, as well as developing a number of other projects. Palden has been a member of the sangha since 2004 and brings not only her many years of experience of sangha and as a practitioner, but also a wealth of experience from her work in the charity sector. We're delighted and very fortunate to have her as a member of the team. Holding the hub of support to members and DHB students in particular, you'll likely connect with her soon if you haven't already.
Alongside the sangha's small team of staff, many members volunteer their time, skills and energy to support sangha activity and the continued flourishing of dharma. If you would like to become more involved please get in touch to talk - [email protected]ku.gro.sha@ubron .
With warmth,
Norbu
