Dear Awakened Heart Sangha
Greetings on this auspicious occasion of the start of the Fire Horse year. A year that promises to be decisive and full of good energy!
Yesterday....the first day of the Tibetan new year we celebrated and performed various traditional rituals to ensure the stability and continuity of our sangha mandala over the coming year. I gave a talk in the morning explaining the meaning and purpose of traditional rituals in terms of mandala principle. Rituals are how we establish our practice mandala that enables us to link into the mandala of the lineage of Awakening. Each mandala has its essence, radiance and display aspect. I will be expanding on these principles over the coming months in talks and edited Q and A sessions. Rangdrol has now taken up the project of how to package my developing teachings on mandala principle in ways that make them more readily available to my students.
I will send more news shortly and try not to leave it so long between newsletters in future.
