Commit to sit: Four Pointers to the Essence
This retreat is open to all. Join for every session. Join simply for teachings. Use the recordings in your own time. A chance to join Lama Dashon and Five as Sangha to go deeper in retreat for a month.
We will look at questioning our experience, shaking up fixed ideas, contemplating wholeness, thinking and believing, and similar themes.
Lama Dashon will give instructions on how the teachings of the Four Noble Truths he gave from last year can be integrated into our Formless Meditation practice and the Mahāmudrā path.
Each week, we will explore how each of the Four pointers we receive: Wake; Heart; Open; Be - are guiding us through the Four Truths and the Eight-fold path and pointing to the Indestructible Heart Essence - the True Source of Peace.
Each day we will recite the Heart Sutra and or others from the Prajnaparamita collection of sutras and reflect on how they are pointing us to the same realisation.
In addition each Saturday starting on the 10th January Five will offer exercises from his book "Opening to Insight" to help us integrate the pointers of the Heart Sutra and other teachings into our Formless Meditation practice, and deepen our view.

There will be two orientation sessions before the retreat on the 30th December at 7:00pm GMT (to answer questions and share practicalities) and also on the 3rd January at 4:00pm (to orientate ourselves to retreat and set intentions). Here's the zoom link. You're welcome to join both if you've signed up already and also if you'd like to ask questions before commiting. You can also send questions simply by replying to this email.
This retreat is open to all, even if for you that means making a semi-retreat commitment alongside work or other daily life commitments (maybe especially for you!) We've added a suggested donation amount for this option, but please make a donation according to what feels appropriate and affordable according to the commitment you would like to make for the month.
