Let's set time aside together to deepen our practice of meditation from the comfort of our individual homes!
Formless Meditation Retreat April 28th to May 5th 2023
“But what exactly is meditation? And why meditate? A brief answer to this deceptively simple question is that meditation is what we say we are doing when we set time aside to become aware of our experience so that we can deepen our understanding of it”. Lama Shenpen, Heart of Meditation
This online retreat is a chance to set time aside together to deepen our practice of meditation from the comfort of our individual homes.
Formless meditation, as taught by Lama Shenpen, with its four reminders of Wake Heart Open Be, teaches us to find a wakeful centredness so that we can sit as simply as we can – even if our minds don’t feel that peaceful – and connect with our true nature.
Katie, Five and Namka will give guidance in meditation and facilitate the retreat from day to day. There will be periods of self-study and reflection as well as group meditation sessions. Individual interviews will be available.
We will also join with Lama Shenpen at the Hermitage for three practice pujas each day, which is a powerful way of connecting through liturgy and meditation to the adhistana of the lineage.
It is up to you to decide what retreat boundaries you wish to establish as you commit to this retreat time, given the restraints of home life. It is good to set your intentions with care prior to the start of the retreat.
