Heart Wish: Sunday Gathering teaching day
An Event for current and past students of the Sangha.
We will be hosting a series of Sunday Gatherings this year to explore the intersections between vaster vision and the DHB themes. Each session will include some time for practice, an exploration of a DHB exercise or reflection and time to discuss with fellow students how the DHB theme manifests in the vaster vision of things and in the intimacy of our lives. This is a wonderful opportunity to set ourselves up each month and to allow our collective reflections to guide our lives.
This month Rinchen Khandro will be leading us, looking at Heart Wish. Join us for an exploration around Vaster Vision (this year’s focus) and Heart Wish. Is there a connection between them? Can our practice augment their power? How do they relate to Openness, Clarity, and Sensitivity – three qualities of our Buddha Nature.
Our explorations may result in more questions than answers but that is the nature of the path! First we have to open to our experience as it is and allow ourselves to become ‘curiouser and curiouser’…
‘Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.’
Rainer Maria Rilke
‘At every stage in Buddhism, it is understanding that liberates. If a new understanding does not feel liberating, then you need to look further, in a different way or more deeply until a new understanding arises that does.’
