Clarity

Bright Clarity

“Clarity is more basic than intelligence...  Everyone has it equally, so it is up to each of us to awaken to it.” Lama Shenpen Hookham

Clarity or awarenesss is our power to know, perceive and understand the true nature of reality, ultimately with great vividness, brightness and wakefulness. As we seek to clarify our understanding, we must open to and ponder the vision of reality presented in the Buddhist teachings. At the same time we need to become willing to pay close attention to our experience and to notice just how strange and unsettling our actual experience is. Gradually our habit of relying so heavily on thinking mind might give way to another way of knowing—intuitive awareness.

During the weekend we will explore a variety of ways of seeing through habits of solidification and assumptions about how things are. And we will open ourselves to the possibility of letting go into a brighter vision which is fresh, joyful and alive.
