This year the Shrimalagana will hold their annual gathering with members of the Mahayanagana who wish to make a deeper commitment and form the inner Mahayanagana.
The inner Mahayanagana are those who are willing and able to attend the annual gathering of committed students each year at the Hermitage and take responsibility for managing and supporting the Mahayanagana as well as more actively supporting the sangha mandala.
Anyone in the current MYG is welcome to enquire about attending this gathering and becoming part of the inner MYG. The next step is to write an email to Tara. It would be helpful if you could share a bit about why you wish to make this step and if you could include details of your training so far including vows taken and transmissions received if possible. Attendance at the 2015 joint gana gathering does not constitute becoming a member of the inner MYG. The inner MYG has not yet actually formed – it is in process.
The gathering starts at 6pm on Friday 24th April. The weekend of 25th and 26th April are a special opportunity to receive NVC training and group work with Kirsten Kristensen who came to teach us last year. Her skills , wealth of experience and warmth led to us inviting her back for more this year. It is an integral part of the gathering and highly recommended.
The rest of the week will comprise some sessions of joint discussions with both ganas and some sessions of SMG and MYG discussing issues separately. There will be a chance to catch up with sangha developments and see how we can engage with projects if we wish to. There will also be an emphasis on the Lifetime of Practice document and our personal training pathways in the sangha. Lama Shenpen will be very involved in the gathering and there may be some sessions of teaching scheduled.
The gathering ends on Saturday 1st May at 10 am and there is the opportunity of staying on for a traditional pilgrimage to a local sacred place
