Annual Sangha Celebration

A time for reflection on the year, our lives and a chance to take Refuge and Boddhisattva vows.

There will be a ceremony on Saturday morning when Lama Shenpen will give Refuge and Bodhisattva vows to those who have requested it in advance. This is followed by a celebratory feast offering and you are invited to bring some buffet style vegetarian food to share. On the Sunday Lama Shenpen will give teachings helping us to reflect on death and this will be followed by a discussion and question and answer session.

If you would like to take Refuge or the Boddhisattva vow, please email [email protected]ku.gro.sha@ameP

All events at the Hermitage are on a donation only basis. We recommend a sliding scale of £15-£45 per day depending on income.
You are also invited to make a donation to Lama Shenpen for the teachings she will be giving over the weekend. Suggested amount £30 - 100. Please give according to your means and inspiration.

Places are limited and we always get fully booked for this event, so it is recommended you book early if you want to stay on-site.

Camping space is available and there are plenty of campsites and B & B's locally if there is no room left.

If you would like to stay on for the Mahayanagana gathering, please book separately and let Dashu know.

PLEASE NOTE: Trains to Criccieth are disrupted for the foreseeable future. Please check with National rail enquiries for information. You might find it easier to go to Bangor and catch a bus from there to Penygroes, Bryncir or Rhoslan. Check with Travel Line Cymru for more details and to plan your journey.

You will have to register using the Hermitage website or our eventbrite page
