Alan Smith writes: I would like to invite you to attend this special Awakened Heart Sangha weekend in the heart of Worcestershire which is being hosted by the Worcester Awakening Heart Buddhist Group. The weekend will be led by AHS teachers: Alan Smith, Tara Dew & Jane Powell. It is open to all AHS members, prospective members, friends and supporters.
The venue for this weekend is Malvern St James, a boarding school in the heart of Great Malvern, Worcestershire. The venue is 200 yards from Great Malvern train station. Malvern St James was originally built as an hotel for the burgeoning Victorian Malvern water-health treatments. Accommodation is a mix of single and twin bedrooms. The food will be vegetarian and all the food from Friday evening to Sunday lunch is included in the price of the weekend.
The cost for the whole weekend is £105 plus any offering you decide to make for the teachings.
What will we do?
On this weekend we will use periods of sitting meditation and also movement (Tai Chi/Chi Kung) to listen and align with the heart of our practice, to let go and open to our immediate experience and to soften into the ever-fresh inspiration of the Dharma. There will be the chance to learn some simple yet effective Chi Kung movements, to release tensions and to embody the heart of our practice. There will also be plenty of time for some guided discussion and to unfold into the rhythm of our practice.
The weekend is suitable for everyone.

To book your place on this weekend, please send a cheque for £80 payable to WAHB to Alan Smith, 111 Victoria Avenue, Worcester WR5 1EE.
Bookings need to be received by Saturday, 17th November and the remaining balance of £25 is to be paid by Friday, 4th January 2013. Malvern St James require us to pay a sizeable non-returnable deposit and I therefore need to decide about the viability of this weekend on 17th November. All participants are required to attend for the whole weekend from Friday late afternoon to Sunday afternoon.
