Moving Body, Still Mind

On this retreat we will use some simple Tai Chi-based movements to release physical tensions and to engage the heart.  The retreat will consist of periods of meditation and movement, of stillness and active reflection and is a wonderful opportunity to explore the core principles of Discovering the Heart of Buddhism through connecting with the 'felt-wisdom' of our bodies.

"The freedom offered by the Dharma is constantly manifesting right in front of us. To engage with it requires us to rediscover a child-like simplicity.  It is completely simple and yet simple is not the same as easy. This retreat is an invitation to explore deeply with a light touch. To become present through kindness rather than discipline. To move from the heart with presence and dignity and to meet ourselves in another".

Requirements for the retreat: Comfortable clothing & flat-soled shoes.   Although gentle physical exercises will be involved, no physical struggle or discipline will be necessary.
