How do we talk about our experience of Dharma – with other Buddhists or with family and workmates? That's what we're going to play with here – not giving Dharma Talks or being academic and knowledgeable, but being open and understood, wherever we are on our own path.
We have noticed at retreats how strong are the bonds created by sharing in this way: to share our Dharma is to experience Dharma. This hints at what Lama Shenpen means by the phrase “teaching as a practice” and why she considers it important for her senior students - we'll investigate this further.
However, sharing the Dharma is a joy open to anyone, we just need the confidence to get started. Look forward to a supportive atmosphere in which we can experiment and learn together.
