Jewel Ornament of Liberation

The Jewel Ornament of Liberation

This year we are completing the second half of our study of the 'Jewel Ornament of Liberation' by Gampopa. The purpose of focusing on this 12th century text is to understand how the training in the DHB fits in with the traditional framework of the Mahayana teachings. This year we are focusing on the Bodhisattva path and its basis in loving kindness and not clinging to views.  Lama Shenpen is strongly encouraging students who wish to attend the June retreat to attend as many of the St Mary's weekends as they can in order to train in the spirit of the path before going more deeply into its nature and its fruition. There will be an on-line course for the first half of the text for those who missed it last year or who wish to repeat it as well as an on-line course on the second half for those who wish to prepare for the retreat whether they are able to attend it or not.
