Exploring Hearts Awareness:and how to awaken it fully by discovering the Indestructible Heart Essence

A DHB weekend retreat led by Tara and Pati. Tara and Pati are senior students of Lama Shenpen and the AHS and will be offering teachings, meditation guidance and personal instruction. This weekend is specifically tailored for anyone who wishes to find out more about the AHS and the teachings of Lama Shenpen. We are fortunate to have Lama Shenpen teaching on Tuesday morning rounding up the retreat and answering specific questions.

Saturday - Monday mornings:

9.30-11.00 talk and meditation 11.30 - 12.30 talk and meditation

Saturday and Sunday afternoons:

2.30-4.00 a choice of three options. Guidance for meditation - with Tara and Pati, shrine room silent meditation or Mentor led discussion group.

Monday afternoon:

2.30 - 4.00 - Silent meditation and personal interviews with Tara and Pati

Tuesday morning:

9.30 - 11 Lama Shenpen teaching and closing vows

The days will open and close with Morning and Evening Practice held respectively at 7am each day and then 7.30pm on Friday, Saturday and Monday, but Evening Practice is 5.00pm on Sunday.

This is designed as a long weekend retreat rather than drop in sessions, though many people have asked whether it's possible to join for only some of the sessions, it is up to you how you choose your boundaries. Once you have chosen them it is good for your practice and for the strength of the whole retreat that you stick to them as best you can. If that means that you can only join in for a few sessions, then make that commitment and stick to it. You might also decide that for the whole retreat you will make a special effort to live by the precepts and in this way demonstrate your intention of time and energy.

All in all, an online event can be molded to suit your home needs, ideally we encourage people to attend all sessions, but the most important thing is to make your commitment and try your best to stick to it. Then if you aren't able to, notice how uncomfortable it can be, and reassert your wish to keep to your word in the future.
