Vows Ceremony NO MEDIA
This weekend is a powerful moment in the annual calendar when we come together to witness people taking steps of deepening commitment to the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. It is a time when those students who have prepared in advance take Refuge and Bodhisattva vows. We also celebrate people taking vows of entry into the Mahayanagana and Shrimalagana - the circle of committed students within the Awakened Heart Sangha. This event is open to all and we especially welcome relatives and friends of vow takers to join us at the ceremony. Anyone who has taken Refuge or Bodhisattva vow before may wish to be present to witness the ceremony as a way of renewing their vows. Although everyone is welcome, it is an event that has quite a full programme of liturgy and ritual and therefore it may not be everyone's cup of tea!
